The Blizzard, Part-2
My stomach lurched and I doubled over from the pressure. Frozen wind lashed over my benumbed body. I tugged at the blanket as if it could offer me some kind of consolation. My hair whipped back and forth, stinging at every strike. I could feel my brother's constant palpitations. He was in no condition to move. My frostbitten feet wouldn't budge either. The swirling tempest inched closer and closer, but I simply lay limp. This is it. I thought. I truly wanted salvation from this woeful life as a street scrounger. I couldn't feel the tears, but I knew that they were streaming down my cheeks. I patted off my brother's tears, leaving his face smeared with sweat and blood. I embraced him one last time. It was a rather thawing feeling. I drifted off to my happy place. If this was it, then it might as well end this way- happily.
U capture the wrath of nature quite poignantly....And the bizarre sense of happiness in the final resting place......How did you know..... Beautifully expressed
